GraceLynn Mae writes contemporary fiction about ordinary people standing in the doorway of their second chances. Her stories live in small coastal towns, in old letters tucked into drawers, in the particular ache of finally choosing to begin again.
She came to fiction the long way around, after years of reading other people's. What she found there — and what she hopes to give back — is the quiet thrill of a story that takes the small things seriously: a name remembered, a kindness returned, the courage it takes to set down what you've been carrying.
When she isn't writing, she is mostly thinking about writing. Cherries and Berries is her debut novel.
